Okay well... It’s like this.

Fay was a character I had from a story a long long time ago. Unfortunately, the narrative demanded that she die.
I liked her for all that she was a bit character, and I was sad to see her go.
Rivet was a character from my last NaNo novel. He too, like Fay, died despite the fact that I liked him quite a lot. (Quicksilver also died in that scene, but if you’ve read the Prize fic I wrote for Ronnie, you can see that he is still getting work in the H.E. Universe)

I put Fay in charge of the “Ridel Brain Maintenance Department” a long time ago. It is her job to feed and take care of the blot bunnies, pave over any Plot-holes, keep my creative wheels turning and such.
Seeing as I was so attached to Rivet (and his maintenance bots Socket, Fuse and Jolt, who are a bit like cassetteicons, but not really) And I could not bear to discard him completely, I stuck him in the RBMD under the watchful eye of Fay.

At first, Fay was quite happy to have someone(s) to talk too. Rivet however, was not at all pleased with being Fay’s subordinate. Seeing as he had been head mechanic on his ship for many vorns (However the heck long that is). Socket Fuse and Jolt agreed, and together the four of them teamed up to give her absolute heck.

Much to their surprise/dismay, Fay could hold her own. Giving them twice as much trouble as they could ever collectively cause her. (Aww, that’s why I loved her in the first place ) Needless to say this Prank war made their work a bit shoddy and I had thusly gone through a painfully long period of creative constipation. ;__;

One of the duties of those in the RBMD Is to physically go into various stories and pave over plot holes. This task is more dangerous than it may sound. Because one may very well get caught in the plot-crossfire between Villains and heroes and become collateral damage.

Those are mostly off-record adventures. I don’t necessarily get a full record of these Plot-hole paving excursions. Only when something goes wrong, such as the time where Fay went into my story about Mutants and got nearly mauled by the “villain,” whom she startled. Or, in more recant history, the time she was mistaken for a non-resonator and nearly executed by a Decepticon Extra.
Or the time very shortly after that where Rivet was mistaken for a Decepticon. He used to be an Autobot, but now that he’s in the RBMD he’s a free radical, Answering to me Rather than the Prime or the Tron. (Or the Screamer, who leads his own made up faction in his dreams every night)
I don’t have as regular contact with the RBMD as I probably should. So you can imagine my surprise/Total Shock when I got the invitation to their wedding (Which took place on May 24th by the way).
It was a really beautiful (if not strange) event. And I got to catch up with a lot of my old characters. Fay and Rivet included. They looked so happy. It was weird considering the last time I saw the two in person they were at each others throats. (I was forced to have a meeting with them to try and stop the war. That day was just one big headache.)
I don’t think Socket, Fuse or Jolt have quite warmed up to the situation yet. (Dude, Seriously, the way they act it’s like the Decepticon-Autobot war ended and Megatron and Optimus got married.) I hope they’ll come around sooner or later.

Well, they make an odd couple. But I still say
