I made my own version of the Mad Hatter hat!
No tutorial, no patterns.
I just went off and did it! And I’m really pleased with the results!
Bristol board, scraps of old cloth,embroidery thread and two large T-shirts. Everything either from the dollar store or already laying around the house.

Update: Shooter captured.

Last night at around 12:00am, Justin Bourque was taken alive by the RCMP.
There have been no further fatalities since the original shooting.
We're all extremely relieved. :')

My city is on lockdown today...

My city is an incredibly quiet place. This sort of thing never happens here.
Three RCMP officers were shot and killed yesterday evening. Two more were injured, but are not so far in critical condition. The shooter is still at large. People are to stay indoors and refrain from posting anything about police activity in their area, as the killer is on a mobile device and is keeping up with what people are saying on social media.
They suspect he's hiding in the woods now, but this is still far too close for comfort.
Moncton is small.
This feels so unreal.

Whoo! It's been a crazy long time since I've really been present on this account.
Things have been going pretty well over on my GT page! I've made a lot of new characters, written two GT related NaNoWriMo novels, and really got to know
a lot better. Turns out that while I was (silently, because I'm timid like that) freaking out about how completely amazing she and her art are, she was silently enjoying my art as well! 
So yeah! Great times!
I don't plan to completely jump ship, as I usually do with my accounts (because I suck
) but I do intend to divide my time more evenly between them.
So I just want to say a great big SORRY to all the people who kindly left comments and didn't receive answers for months at a time!
The only times I really came on this account over the last... however long it was (One year today! Holy crapoly!) were to upload non-GT related pictures so that I could use the link to upload them to tumblr. As such, I've been grossly neglecting you guys and your comments! I feel like a total patoot. ;A;
That being said, I am back now. For realz!
My inbox is pretty much clear at the moment, because I had way to many multi month old comments to sort through (I'msorryI'msorryI'msorry!
) but I do promise that now that I am back, I will be diligent in answering every comment that comes my way. (provided it needs an answer of course. 
)
I won't always answer right away, but you WILL get a reply.
Once again, I'm really sorry about all of this guys!
But hopefully things will be back on the right track from now on.
